Emirates Center for Maritime Arbitration and Abu Dhabi International Market Strengthen Cooperation

The Emirates Maritime Arbitration Center (ERC) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Abu Dhabi Global Market Arbitration Center (ADMC) to continue to provide alternative dispute resolution services in the maritime sector.
The agreement was signed by Majid Obaid Bin Bashir, Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary General of the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Center and Linda Fitz Allan, Chief Executive of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts, at the Abu Dhabi Global Arbitration Center in Abu Dhabi.
Majid Obaid bin Bashir stressed the importance of signing the agreement with the Abu Dhabi Global Market Arbitration Center to enhance access to the best leading services for arbitration and mediation in the maritime sector, and to raise awareness about the importance of these solutions in the region through events that allow the exchange of knowledge and experience among stakeholders in the sector. This strengthens the UAE’s leading position as the ideal destination for arbitration services in the Middle East.
For her part, Linda Fitz Allan said that the agreement will contribute to the unification of efforts to meet the needs and requirements of the maritime sector in the country and the region.
