The “Visit Emirates” mobile exhibition in India promotes tourism products and destinations

The Ministry of Economy has recently organized a traveling tourism exhibition in the Republic of India with the participation of local tourism bodies and departments from various emirates, as well as representatives of national airlines – Emirates, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia and Fly Dubai – as well as recreational parks, The state.
The exhibition, which included three major Indian cities, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Kuchi, was organized under the slogan “Visit the UAE”. The exhibition aims at introducing tourism products in the UAE and providing the country’s visitors with a variety of tourism options, promotion of tourist destinations, And offers that tourists can take advantage of in different emirates.
Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade Affairs said that the exhibition comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with various partners from the public and private sectors to develop the tourism sector in the UAE and enhance its attractiveness and competitiveness regionally and globally. To promote the growth of the economy and raise the status of the country to be one of the most important destinations for sustainable tourism in the world, stressing the importance of the role of promotional exhibitions and foreign tourism events in the definition of the excellence of the sector District in the state.
Al Saleh explained that the bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of India are strategic partnerships that are active and dynamic in most sectors of development, not only in trade and investment, but also in tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries. Which is a vital source of tourists visiting the UAE annually.
He stressed that the organization of the exhibition this year has a special character to coincide with the declaration of the State in 2019 for tolerance, which represents a moral principle and institutional approach adopted by the State to promote prosperity and stability and development locally, regionally and globally. This provides a fertile ground for further cooperation and cultural exchange between the two friendly countries.
He added that the number of hotel guests from the Indian market in 2017 amounted to more than 2.2 million guests, representing about 9% of the total visitors of the country during that year, noting that the exhibition is an important opportunity to further define the tourism environment in the country among the tourists in India, and build channels of communication and fruitful trade, tourism and cultural cooperation with the concerned parties in India, and promote dialogue and exchange of experiences between the two sides for the mutual benefit.
Al Saleh stressed the importance of the role played by the civil aviation sector in the development of tourism exchange and the increase in the number of visitors. The UAE Airways offers a variety of options for air transport between the two countries. There are about 1,065 weekly flights connecting the cities of the two countries, including 484 flights operated by UAE airlines .
The exhibition was held in Mumbai by His Excellency Mohammed Saleh Al-Taniji, Consul General of the State of Mumbai, where he was briefed on the pavilions and events of the exhibition, pointing out its importance as a platform to enhance communication with tourism destinations in India and expand cooperation between the two countries in this vital field.
Abdullah Al Hammadi, Director of Tourism Department at the Ministry of Economy, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, in which he stressed that the UAE offers its guests a unique and rich tourism experience due to its diversity and privacy that vary from one emirate to another. Heritage and historical landmarks, or the attractions of its visitors, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure, efficient services, world-class facilities and facilities, inviting tourists from the Republic of India to explore this rich tourist environment and take advantage of its services and attractive offers.
Mr. Al Hammadi added that Zorua UAE offers an opportunity to promote the UAE as a major tourist destination by introducing the country’s top tourism destinations, particularly in the areas of leisure and leisure, business tourism, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. And to highlight its historical and cultural heritage in a safe and integrated service environment, as well as its vibrant shopping centers, diverse and picturesque scenes in its various emirates, and its wide choice of restaurants, desert adventures, Lia, cruises and much more, making the experience of the tourist in the state rich and unique.
Al Hammadi explained that mobile promotional exhibitions are an important activity on the tourism development agenda in the country due to its active role as a driving force to support the tourism industry and increase the number of visitors to the country through the integration of efforts between the Ministry of Economy and its partners to provide high quality services to potential visitors.
