Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (SASO) announced the completion of the unified platform for the registration of UAV products and air vehicles. Air vehicles, a platform that will help traders and suppliers to register their products where the team in the platform, to overcome the challenges that caused the unintentional spread of this type of air vehicles in the country, in a manner that poses a threat to air navigation systems , And threaten the safety of individuals and public and private property.
His Excellency stressed that the Authority worked within the Federal Government team to develop the unified electronic platform for the registration of drones and air vehicles used in the airspace for recreational, service and commercial purposes, under the name “My Drone”, in a move consistent with the UAE Government’s keenness to provide a civil aviation environment A safe society to practice and provide for these activities a legal umbrella.
His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (Standards), visited the platform on the first day of GITEX Technology Week 2019.He listened to an explanation from HE Abdullah Al Muaini. He also reviewed the unified platform for the registration of UAV products developed by TRA in cooperation with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) has presented 28 specifications of smart and electronic services that it provides customers with simple access to the services of the Authority, including 6 services that have been used since last year, including smart RFID tires, customs clearance, vehicle verification and certification. The Energy Efficiency System, the Unified Platform System for UAVs and Air Vehicles, which has been in collaboration with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority, to issue unmanned aircraft licenses.
His Excellency pointed out that the projects presented by “specifications”, in line with the strategic objectives of the UAE 2021, especially in the index of a sustainable environment and integrated infrastructure.
