Miral today announced the completion of the infrastructure and utilities for the Yas Bay project in December this year and the completion of 75 per cent of the construction work at the Yas Bay Arena, marking significant progress in this mixed-use development.
Mohammed Abdulla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, said: “Yas Bay is a mixed-use development that will be a vital addition to Yas Island and a new destination in Abu Dhabi. We look forward to working with investors and partners from around the world to enhance this unique destination. Set a new standard for Yas Island.
“Through this project, we are contributing to the realization of Abu Dhabi’s vision to diversify its economy and enhance Yas Island’s position as one of the world’s leading destinations.”
Miral’s investments are estimated at AED 4 billion in the AED 12 billion project in both infrastructure and public works and the construction of the Hilton and Yas Bay Arena.
The 14 million square foot development will consist of three zones: Waterfront, Residences at Yas Bay and the Media District comprising the new twofour54 complex.
The waterfront area is the focal point of the Yas Bay project and will house Yas Bay Arena, two world-class hotels, a beach club, a 37-storey jetty and 19 retail outlets.
Yas Bay Arena is one of the most exclusive facilities in this marina project and will be the first unique and versatile indoor Arena capable of accommodating 500 to 18,000 people with its customizable design.
The new Arena is a major addition to leisure facilities in Abu Dhabi, with the capacity to host a wide range of major events, special events, sports competitions and cultural performances.
