The pioneers of the second batch of the UAE Astronaut Programme, Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammed Al Mulla, are preparing to conduct specialized tests on the robotic arm “Kandarm 2” at the Canadian Space Agency, after completing virtual exercises at the Johnson Space Center of the US “NASA”.

The two astronauts in the 23rd batch of astronauts at NASA, with the participation of 10 other astronauts from the United States, completed 40% of the intensive exercises, which began at the beginning of this year, and will continue for two consecutive years, the most important of which are the tests of providing accurate lunar weight underwater in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, which reaches Its depth is 40 feet, in order to understand the range of motion and visibility provided by the new astronaut suit, which was developed by NASA for use in missions to the moon’s surface, as part of the “Artemis” program.
