Dubai Ports World (DP World) today closed the acquisition of Cosmos Agencia Maritima SAAC, a US $ 315.7 million integrated logistics provider. DP World and Amdino Investment Holding announced on March 18 that DP World would acquire 100 per cent of CAAM, based in Peru, with logistics services, Neptunia SA and Triton Transport SA The logistics department provides an integrated platform of activities related to foreign trade, product storage and distribution as well as shipping services that facilitate the development and implementation of private projects within the sector. In addition to the maritime and logistics services provided by the Cosmos Group, it also has a 50% stake in Terminals PORTARIOUS EUROUNDINOS SA in the port of Baita. DP World said the move would expand DP World’s deployment in Peru by adding integrated logistics services to its container terminal operations in Calao near Lima, including warehousing, distribution and cargo handling to provide tailor-made solutions for a range of industrial sectors in the country.
