1.24 million tons cargo handled at Yanbu Saudi Port in the third quarter of this year

The volume of cargo handled through Yanbu Commercial Port reached 1.24 million tons, thus achieving a new record during the third quarter of 2018 compared to 557 thousand tons for the same period of the previous year 2017, an unprecedented increase of 124%.
It is worth noting that the port achieved record levels during the last nine months of 2018, through its handling of 3.08 million tons, compared to 2.11 million tons for the same period of the previous year 2017, an increase of 46%.
This comes in the context of port management efforts aimed at enhancing the operational capacity after the completion of the development projects in the port; in addition to the efforts of the General Authority of Ports “Ports” to enhance the Saudi port services and upgrade its operational and logistical capabilities to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
The port looks forward to continuing to achieve new achievements by attracting new shipping lines and receiving various sizes of vessels to keep pace with the qualitative leap taking place at various levels and to highlight its economic position in the region in general.
