1.5 million ounces of Jordan’s gold balance

Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) data showed that the Bank’s gold balance increased by 210,466 ounces to the end of July this year to reach 1.5 million ounces, according to the latest.
This rose 11.9 percent to about 1314 million dinars, the value of the end of July of this year compared with 1174 million dinars for the same period of 2017.
The gold ounce weighs about 32.15 grams and is made of pure gold with a purity of 996 parts of 1,000 parts.
The data showed that the foreign reserves of the Central Bank amounted to 10 billion and 848 million dinars for the end of July this year.
Cash, balances and ready-made deposits accounted for the largest volume of these assets at JD 4344.5 million, and bonds and bonds amounted to JD 4023.7 million.
