Household consumer prices in the health care and middle income sector increased by 1.8%

The consumer price inflation rate in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the period from January to December 2017 was 1.6% compared to the same period last year. The average monthly consumer price index rose from January to December 2017 to 108.1 points from 106.4 points for the same period of 2016.

According to the report, the transport group accounted for 37.2% of the total growth rate recorded during January-December 2017 compared to the same period last year. The prices of this group rose by 4.3% from water, electricity, gas and other fuels, which contributed 34.4% per annum in the period from January to December 2017 compared to the same period of 2016, as a result of the increase of 1.6%

The Entertainment and Culture Group led to lower groupings that fell by 5.6% from January to December 2017 compared to the same period in 2016. The Group contributed 15.6% / h4>

The Census Bureau report revealed that consumer prices for households in the lower and middle welfare sectors rose by 1.8% during January-December 2017 compared to the same period in 2016 and “welfare” by 1.2%.
