Hotel revenues in Abu Dhabi rose to AED 1.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018, an increase of 73% compared to AED 1.05 billion in the third quarter of the same year.
The strong growth in hotel and hotel / hotel / hotel revenues in the period from October to December last year reflects the continued strong activity witnessed by the sector over the past year, according to figures released today by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center.

The number of hotel rooms in the Abu Dhabi hotel portfolio increased to 3,971 in the fourth quarter of 2018, a growth of 4.6% compared to 31,506 in the third quarter of the same year.
The number of guests during the same monitoring period rose from 1.29 million to 1.34 million while the number of overnight stays jumped from 3.017 million nights to 3.58 million nights, which in turn increased the occupancy rate from 66% to 78% at the end of the third quarter. From last year.
The figures of the Statistics Center revealed that the number of guests of the hotel establishments of the Gulf nationality increased by 36.6% in the last quarter of last year, after their number increased to more than 71,000 guests, while non-Arab nationals grew by 16.6% and 7.5% 5.4% for non-Arab Asia and 5% for North American and South American citizenship.
Analysis of the hotel’s revenue sources showed that the bulk of the revenue came from higher room revenues to AED 991 million in the fourth quarter, while food and beverage revenues amounted to 555 million dirhams and about 228 million dirhams from other revenues.
