Jordan exports 1.9 billion dinars during the first quarter

Jordanian exports achieved growth with various trading partners and economic blocs in the first quarter of this year, reaching 1.972 billion dinars, compared to 1.815 billion dinars for the same period last year.
The Ministry of Foreign Trade said, in data issued by the Department of Statistics and reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra) yesterday, that the value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone increased during the first quarter of this year by 5.5%, to reach 630 million dinars. Compared to 597 million dinars, driven by the increase in the volume of exports to the Saudi market, which amounted to about 204 million dinars.
She indicated that the volume of national exports to the North American Free Trade Agreement countries during the first quarter of this year increased by 11.2%, to reach about 418 million dinars, compared to 376 million dinars. This increase is driven by an increase in the volume of Jordanian exports to the United States of America to reach 394 million dinars.
National exports with non-Arab Asian countries grew during the first quarter of this year, by 10%, to reach approximately 616 million dinars, compared to 560 million dinars for the same period last year, driven by an increase in the volume of Jordanian exports to India, which amounted to 419 million. Dinar.
The value of Jordanian exports to European Union countries increased in the first quarter of this year by 28.3%, to reach about 81 million dinars, compared to 63 million dinars for the same period last year. Belgium topped the list of European countries in terms of Jordanian exports, amounting to nearly 18 million.
The volume of Jordanian exports increased in the first quarter of this year to the rest of the economic blocs by 4.9%, to reach about 230 million dinars, compared to 219 million for the same period last year, driven by the increase in the volume of exports to the free zone, which amounted to about 106 million dinars.
