106% Growth in the number of visiting delegations to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce

 Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) revealed that the number of delegations visited during the first half of this year increased by 106%, reaching 721 visiting delegations from 23 countries with 1432 people compared to 350 visiting delegations of 849 during the same period last year.

The Chamber discussed with these visiting delegations the strengthening of relations between the business community in Dubai and the business communities in the countries they represent, focusing on establishing economic partnerships, developing trade relations, attracting foreign direct investment and organizing business forums and meetings that promote growth and investment opportunities.

The Chamber’s external offices held 482 meetings with companies interested in the Dubai market and one from Dubai looking to expand into the markets where the Chamber’s offices are located. The Chamber’s representative offices are a key pillar of the Chamber’s strategy to expand into promising overseas markets.

As part of its efforts to stimulate economic partnerships, attract leading foreign companies to the emirate and introduce investment opportunities, the Chamber organized 14 business and business forums during the first half of this year, with more than 2694 participants, most notably the second session of the Latin American Business Forum, , The UAE-Korea Business Forum, the Tanzanian Business and Investment Forum and the Emirati-Moldavian Business Forum.

Hamad Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the Chamber works through various partnerships with various international bodies and chambers of commerce to activate communication channels between companies in Dubai and their peers in other markets.
