13% decline in prices of agricultural producers in Jordan for the month of March

The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on prices of agricultural producers, where the results showed a decrease in the index of prices of agricultural producers by 13.1% for March 2018 compared to March 2017, the index reached 117.5 for the month of March 2018 compared to 135.3 for the month of March 2017. This is due to (27.7%), green beans (27.1%), green peppers (24.8%), eggplants (27.0%), and flowers (27.3%), ), Normal lettuce (60.2%), varicose veins (32.2%), and carrots (25.9%). The relative importance of crops whose prices decreased was 64.5% To the index value. The agricultural crops, which did not change their prices during the period of any significant change is the crop of Yusuf Effendi and Albabay and its relative importance is very small. On the cumulative level, the prices of agricultural producers decreased by 16.5% for the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of 2017, with a cumulative index of 100.4 for 2018 compared to 120.1 for the same period of 2017.
