Faisal Alioun, Director of Commercial Control and Protection Department, said that the department carries out awareness campaigns throughout the year for shops and consumers, as both parties are key partners in the process of protecting consumers and protecting their rights.
He pointed out that the consumer protection department succeeded in finding friendly solutions to settle the dispute between the two parties to 81 cases, representing 59% of the total number of complaints filed. The shops were obliged to write a pledge in 11 cases and a license freeze for only one case, To another party that the parties can not reconcile.
Mr. Yousuf Al Baloushi, Acting Director of Commercial Protection Department, called on all consumers to take the time to shop and focus on essential items during purchase, such as verifying the real price of the product through the sticker and the price mentioned on the shelves, And avoid buying the item only because it is low in price, and the consumer to ensure receipt of the invoice and keep them, with the need to check all items mentioned in them.
