Ibrahim Al-Bahr, an economist in the retail trade sector and director of Al-Bahr Consulting Corporation, confirmed that the entry of new shopping centers contributed to the increase in offers and sales. And thus sales rebound in preparation for Eid al-Adha.

He indicated that sales grew by 25-30% compared to last May. He explained that all shopping centers across the country witnessed a significant increase in spending levels with the end of the school season, as a great demand began to buy Eid supplies, while the masses of expatriates began to buy gifts in preparation for travel to their countries.

He added that the coincidence of the Eid al-Adha holiday with the summer holidays contributed to an additional increase in sales and demand, as the high spending levels were affected by the summer offers and sales witnessed by all Abu Dhabi commercial centers, especially in fashion, jewelry, perfumes and gifts, which offer customers a set of special offers, as it witnessed an increase. in sales and a wide turnout from customers.

Nanda Kumar, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for LuLu Group, said that shopping centers are witnessing a clear turnout with the advent of Eid Al-Adha, pointing to an increase in sales by more than 30% compared to previous months.

He also pointed to the increase in consumer demand for offers and discounts that include food and beverages on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He added that the Eid al-Adha holiday coincided with the start of the summer vacation season, noting that there was a great demand from customers to buy clothes, perfumes and gifts in preparation for traveling to their countries.

Khaled Al-Shanqeeti, founding partner and CEO of Global Corp Group (GCG), stated that all markets and commercial centers witnessed a state of recovery, activity, and an increase in purchasing activity in conjunction with the start of the end-of-school vacation and the advent of Eid Al-Adha, pointing to the extension of work in the markets until late hours at night. .

He explained that the crowding of markets and the demand of citizens and residents to buy Eid supplies, such as sweets, clothes and shoes, coincided with the availability of special offers and discounts by merchants and large stores on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

He said: There is no doubt that there is an abundance of goods and products to meet the needs of the local market, in addition to the diversity of the goods offered. This gave a new flavor to the local market, indicating that there are multiple options for the consumer in the local market to choose what he wants at different prices commensurate with the groups and segments of society.

Al-Shanqeeti added that securing the needs of local markets during the holidays starts early, through contracts with merchants and suppliers. With the aim of securing the need of the local market, pointing to a large abundance in the local market.

Al-Shanqeeti indicated that Internet services and e-commerce made it easier for the private sector and consumers to obtain goods without interruption, as transactions are carried out electronically.
