14.54 billion dirhams The volume of trade through the “Dubai Creek”

Dubai Customs revealed that the emirate’s trade volume across the Dubai Creek reached AED 14.54 billion last year.
Dubai Customs has affirmed its keenness to enhance the role of the maritime sector as one of the vital sources of diversification of the national economy in line with Plan 2021 by facilitating the commercial movement in Al Khor as a symbol and commercial landmark that contributes to the enhancement of the maritime trade movement of the Emirate.
The Coastal Customs Centers / Sea Creek Operations, Deira Port, Dubai Creek Customer Service and Hamriyah Customs Customer Service / with the movement of ships coming and leaving during 2018 dealt with 15,603 vessels. Dubai’s foreign trade through Dubai Creek was AED 14.54 billion, Re-exports about 13 billion dirhams, exports 1.246 billion dirhams and imports 328 million dirhams.
The Dubai Creek and Deira harbor are characterized by their absorption of different sizes of vessels. Deira port holds the largest proportion of vessels with 650 vessels followed by Dubai Creek with 550 vessels, in addition to 45 cruise ships in Al Khor, in addition to the various yachts
