UAE stock markets strengthened by the end of the week and the market value of shares traded in the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Financial markets gained AED 23.3 billion during the last five sessions.

On the index, the general index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange increased by 4.7% during the week to close at 5292 points while the general index of the Dubai Financial Market grew by about 1% at 2813 points in the same comparison period.
The impressive performance of Arabtec advanced from AED 2.12 to AED2.24 during the week, and Emirates NBD rose to AED12 after posting record growth in quarterly profit.
In the capital market, the top gainers included Aldar, which rose to AED 1.87, and Abu Dhabi’s first share, which hit AED16.16, amid expectations of a healthy profit for the first quarter of this year.
