2312 new licenses in Ajman during the first half of 2018

The Department of Economic Development in Ajman announced the results of the first half of 2018, which showed a 5% growth in new licenses and renewals, reflecting business license activity and the confidence of the local, regional and global investment community in Ajman’s competitive economic and investment capabilities. To facilitate business and create an attractive investment environment and stimulating growth and sustainability of business.
The new license activity grew by 5 percent to reach 2,312 at the end of the first half of this year, compared with 2,196 in the first half of the previous year. Professional licenses increased by 19 percent, For citizens wishing to practice economic activity inside houses by 1200%, after the issuance of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Emiri Decree No. 1 of 2018, which exempted these licenses from all local fees.
Renewed licenses were similar to new licenses at a growth rate of 5 percent, bringing the total to 12,363 in the first six months of this year, compared with 11,748 in the same period last year. Renewed industrial and industrial licenses grew by 10 percent and 9 percent Respectively, as well as a 117 percent start-up license, reflecting the growing results of the growing business environment in Ajman, which is emerging as a promising destination on the local and regional investment map.
