27% growth in the taxi sector in Dubai during the first half of this year

The taxi sector in the Emirate of Dubai achieved a growth rate of (27%) in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. This sector recorded a recovery rate of (101%) compared to 2019, i.e. before the period that accompanied Exceptional circumstances of the Corona pandemic. This vital sector also recorded the highest growth in (6) years.
Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development Department at the Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority, said: In the first half of this year, the taxi sector, (electronic reservation) and (hourly vehicle rental) recorded a growing demand compared to the same period in 2021.
