3.4% increase in education price index in Abu Dhabi

The Education Price Index in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi rose by 3.4% during 2018 compared to 2017, with the Education Price Index reaching 108 points in 2018 compared to 104.4 points in the previous year.
The education sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is one of the sectors that contribute to the preparation of a promising and educated generation that contributes to the service of the country and society. The education patterns include public schools, private schools and higher education.
Al Ain achieved the highest increase in education prices by 4.3% in 2018, followed by Abu Dhabi by 3.2% and Al Dhafra by 0.9%. %.
The Higher Education Group achieved the highest contribution to the rise in 2018 compared to 2017, which contributed 76.7% of the total increase achieved and the prices of this group increased by 11%.
The “primary and pre-primary” group increased by 1.7% and contributed 26.8% of the total increase in 2018 compared to 2017.
The “non-specified education” level rose by 15.3% and contributed 4.8% of the total rise in 2018 compared to 2017.
At the level of the “secondary education” group, prices fell by 2.6%, which led to the contribution of this group to reduce the general increase rate by 13.1%.
Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi has been working on the draft price index for education within the Emirate and the center is one of the first statistical centers that work on the preparation of a record for special education prices.
