31 students perform Umrah “Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences”

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, represented by the Department of Maktoum Centers for the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences, dispatched 31 students from the centers to perform the Umrah trip, and four of the administrative and supervisory staff, for a period of five days.

Hamad Al-Khazraji, Director of the Centers Department, Head of the Umrah Delegation, said: The flight departed from Dubai International Airport last Saturday morning, heading to the city of Taif in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and then walking to Makkah Al-Mukarramah, to perform the rituals of Umrah. It is scheduled to return, God willing, next Tuesday.
The organization of this trip comes as a continuation of the efforts of the management of the centers, to encourage students who are studying and distinguished in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, to perform the great message that the founder of the centers, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, wanted to graduate memorizers of the Holy Qur’an from citizens and residents. Pointing out that the Umrah trip is part of the annual strategic plan for managing the centers.
He added that the endowment will visit some holy places and religious facilities in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
