3730 Federal and local services provided over the Internet

The number of e-services provided by the UAE government reached about 3730 federal and local services via the internet through the official portal of the country in a step that reflects the progress made by the state in the field of smart government, which contributed to its leading position in the world in this field.
In terms of the most used e-services in 2018, the number of traffic violations that have been completed electronically amounted to 4,936,040 transactions, while the renewal of a work permit and a contract of employment / work permit from outside the country 1,381,095 transactions and the number of ownership of vehicles that have been renewed 987,194 transactions. 964,381 transactions, while 751,762 ID cards were renewed.
The year 2013 was an important turning point in the UAE for the implementation of smart services after the launch of the initiative of smart government to provide services to the public very quickly and in line with developments in the world.
The list of e-services of the main sectors in the UAE, according to statistics issued by the official portal of the Federal Government of 16 sectors, each of which has dedicated links to provide all services to customers.
The list of sectors includes electronic services in health care – the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in addition to education services – the Ministry of Education and the services of the Ministry of Community Development and electronic services in the affairs of personnel – the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the services of federal government employees – Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
Sectors also included electronic services in the financial affairs – the Ministry of Finance and others for business and corporate services – the Ministry of Economy and electronic tax services – the Federal Commission for Taxes and Environmental Affairs – the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and electronic services in the field of energy and industry – the Ministry of Energy and Industry.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior provided all electronic services related to the field of traffic, vehicle licensing, criminal security, penal and correctional facilities and civil defense, in addition to e-services related to visas, visas and residency – Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and electronic services for citizens traveling and abroad – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
It is noteworthy that the use of some electronic services, requires registration first in the smart access system note that these services are characterized by a number of features that enable customers to download documents, save the application for submission at any time, as well as the possibility of digital signature on documents and forms.
