4.5 million passengers through Abu Dhabi Airport in 3 months

During the summer months between June and August, Abu Dhabi International Airport reached over 4.5 million passengers.
Abu Dhabi International Airport saw the highest influx of passengers from five major international destinations – London, New Delhi, Bombay, Cairo and Cochin – during the summer. The number of passengers departing from these destinations through Abu Dhabi International Airport to 900,104 passengers, while the number of passengers during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, which ran between July 7 and July 17, to 713,297 passengers arrivals, departures and transit passengers.
Brian Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “We are proud of the success of the growth in the number of passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport during the summer, when many residents in the UAE prefer to travel to see their families or to explore new tourist destinations.
