48.572 billion dirhams total government expenditures during 2017

The actual expenditures of the federal authorities amounted to approximately 48.572 billion dirhams during the year 2017 with an implementation rate of 100%, according to the financial performance report for the implementation of the budget issued today by the Ministry of Finance.
The total expenditure on the public services sector amounted to 16.190 billion dirhams, representing 33.3% of the total expenditure during 2017. The expenditure on the public order and public safety sector amounted to 10.453 billion dirhams, or 21.5%.
The sectors accounted for 54.8% of the total expenditure. The expenditure on the education sector was 13.5% at AED 6.574 billion, followed by the health sector at 8.1% and AED 3.943 billion and social protection at 6.5% at AED 3.134 billion.
The expenditure on the economic affairs sector amounted to 1.021 billion dirhams, 2.1% by the end of 2017, while the housing sector and community facilities reached AED 621 million, 1.3%, and AED 290 million respectively on the environmental protection sector and 0.6% And by 0.4% of total expenditure.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Finance is keen to provide analytical financial data for the performance of the federal authorities in accordance with the best international practices, in light of its commitment to achieve the highest standards of transparency, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 9 and Article 50 of Federal Law Decree No. 8 of 2011 on the rules of preparing the general budget and final account and rules For expenditure and revenue collection
