59 complaints of value added received by Sharjah Economic in a month

The Department of Economic Development in Sharjah received 59 complaints related to value added tax in the Emirate during the first month of application.
The department immediately began to follow up through communication with consumers in order to review the details of the complaints according to the procedures and to monitor all the economic establishments to ensure that the application of the tax is not exploited and the prices are exaggerated.
The Department organizes intensive campaigns on the emirate’s markets and various economic establishments to raise awareness among traders and consumers and ensure compliance with the laws regulating value added tax and to combat the manifestations of fraud and commercial manipulation and reduce the negative practices that may be resorted to by some as part of the Department’s keenness to implement its comprehensive field plan for the control campaigns On the markets of the Emirate, which is implemented throughout the year by a specialized team of qualified commercial officers in the Department of Control and Commercial Protection Department.
