6 million passengers through Abu Dhabi International Airport during the third quarter of this year

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi revealed that the number of passengers through Abu Dhabi International Airport during the third quarter of this year amounted to about 6 million passengers, and that the number of flights through the airport during the same period about 35 thousand trips.
According to the report, India was at the forefront of the number of passengers using the airport during the first half of this year with a total of 1 million passengers, representing 16% of the total number of passengers using the airport during that period, followed by the United Kingdom with a total of 450 A thousand passengers or 7.5% of the number of passengers through the airport.
While Australia ranked third in terms of the number of passengers to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with a total of 350 thousand passengers or about 6% of the total. For their part, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with a total of 345,000 passengers traveling between Abu Dhabi and Saudi destinations, with 300,000 destinations in Pakistan, representing 6% and 5% respectively.
In the third quarter of the year, the volume of freight through Abu Dhabi International Airport reached 140 thousand tons of cargo, while the number of cargo flights through the airport reached 740, with the recovery of commercial traffic between the emirate and the outside world and the continuous efforts of the airport Abu Dhabi International to strengthen its position as a regional cargo hub in the region.
