6.3% decline in industrial production in Jordan during seven months

The General Statistics Department of Jordan revealed that the General Industrial Production Index for the first seven months of the year decreased by 6.3% compared to the same period of 2017.
The decrease was due to the decrease in the quantities of production of the manufacturing sector by 7.2 percent with a relative importance of 86.0 percent, and the quantities of electricity production by 3.0 percent, with a relative importance of 5.8 percent.
While the July index rose by 7.5% compared to the previous month. This was due to the increase in the quantities of production of the manufacturing sector by 6.1% with a relative importance of 86.0% and the quantities of electricity production by 14.9% with a relative importance of 5.8%.
