65% ؜ Occupancy rate of hotels in Jeddah during Eid al-Fitr

During the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Jeddah witnessed an increasing number of visitors through a remarkable rise in occupancy rates of more than 65% in hotels and up to 70% in furnished residential units especially units near the Corniche.
The director general of the branch of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Mohammed Al-Omari, said that his administration represented by the Jeddah branch intensified its control efforts on tourist accommodation facilities through field observers, useful that the branch received 157 complaints varied between complaints about service delivery, The unified tourist contact center is processed for service and price increases in a timely and direct way through the alternation with the complainant and tourist accommodation facilities.
For his part, the department’s licensing department in Jeddah, Farah Al-Qahtani, stressed the importance of visiting visitors and tourists and reporting any shortcomings in the service of tourist accommodation facilities through the toll free telephone number 19988, which operates 24 hours a week.
