The rise in tourism income in Jordan to the end of February

The Jordanian Central Bank’s preliminary data showed that Jordan’s revenues from tourism income rose by 7.2 percent to end of February to 4.375 million dollars (4.521 million dinars) compared to 686 million dollars for the same period last year.

The bank said in a statement on Tuesday that the increase was mainly due to the increase in the total number of tourists by 6.9 percent compared to the same period of 2017.

On a monthly basis, tourism income for February rose by 4.3 percent to $ 315.8 million compared to $ 303 million for the same month in 2017.

The increase was mainly due to the increase in the total number of tourists by 2.5 percent compared to February of 2017.
