AED 1.6 billion revenue for Abu Dhabi in 2017

The annual general meeting of Abu Dhabi Aviation Company approved a cash dividend of 20% of the capital for the fiscal year ended December 2017.
The meeting was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, chaired by Nader Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and in the presence of the Board of Directors and a large number of shareholders.
In the presence of a representative of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), the General Assembly discussed the audited financial statements for the financial year ended 30 December 2017 and also reviewed the activities of the company and its local and foreign partnerships.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors described the achievements of the company during 2017 and highlighted the qualitative, technical and financial development of the companies. During the fiscal year 2017, Abu Dhabi Airlines achieved total revenues of AED 1.6 billion compared to the total revenues achieved in 2016 Which amounted to AED 1.8 billion. The company’s net profit for the period reached AED 284 million, an increase of 1% compared to AED 201 million in 2016.
Abu Dhabi Aviation, a national airline, is the largest commercial aircraft operator in the Middle East and North Africa. This fleet is supported by a fleet of 59 helicopters and four fixed-wing aircraft. As a result of the increasing demand for aircraft, Nigeria, Cameroon, Spain, India, Jordan, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia
