73.6billion dirhams the volume of government spending on community development within 9 months

Total government spending in the UAE reached AED 73.6 billion in subsidies, social benefits and grants during the first nine months of 2018, exceeding AED 73.3 billion spent in 2017.
According to data released by the Ministry of Finance on state-level financial performance – federal government and local governments – expenditure on social benefits, grants and subsidies accounted for 26.6% of total government spending in all emirates which came from January to end of September To about 276.1 billion dirhams.
Under the National Agenda for Vision 2021, there are indicators of community cohesion. The Ministry of Community Development and the rest of the competent development departments in the other emirates supervise the implementation of these indicators, which measure the enjoyment of the principles and values ​​associated with national identity and social solidarity.
The National Agenda aims at maintaining a cohesive society that is proud of its identity and belonging by providing a comprehensive environment that integrates the different sectors of society and preserves the culture, heritage and traditions of the UAE and enhances its social and family cohesion.
In the details of the movement of the activity of the competent authorities in the development of the community in all emirates of the state, it is clear through the figures of the Ministry of Finance that the value of subsidies during the first nine months of 2018 about 14 billion dirhams, while the value of grants amounted to 13 billion dirhams.
On the social benefits item, the value of the period from January to the end of September 2018 was about 46.6 billion dirhams, a growth of more than 120% compared to the same period of 2017.
