79224 Number of commercial licenses renewed in Abu Dhabi during 2018

The number of commercial licenses renewed in Abu Dhabi reached 79224 in 2018, according to the latest figures issued by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center.
The number of new business licenses registered last year reached 11,249 while the number of canceled licenses reached 3,867.
The Abu Dhabi Statistics Center said that the emirate has been characterized in recent years by an investment experience that has made it a destination for major international companies.The government has adopted a long-term plan to facilitate the process of economic transformation in order to create an ideal business environment, and reduce dependence on the oil sector and focus on the knowledge-based economy.
In its annual bulletin, the Statistics Center showed the progress of air traffic through Abu Dhabi airports.
The number of air passengers through Abu Dhabi airports reached 21.411 million passengers in 2018, including 10.678 million arrivals and about 10.73 million departures.
