The Industrial Development Bureau of the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi (ADED) has adopted 85 occupational safety and health management systems for industrial facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2018, an increase of 136% compared to 2017 in which 36 occupational safety and health management systems were reviewed and approved.
The Office has also ranked 181 industrial facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and submitted them to the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center for Accreditation last year to develop and implement the requirements of the occupational safety and health management system by 101% compared to 2017.

According to the report, during the past year, the Industrial Development Office received 129 documents of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSMS), an increase of 153% compared to 2017, in which about 51 documents were received.
According to the report, the Office reviewed 106 occupational safety and health management systems during 2018, an increase of 89% compared to 2017, when 56 systems were completed.
He pointed out that the total number of meetings and consultations held by the Office with representatives of industrial establishments during the year 2018 amounted to about 708 compared to 478 meetings and consultation meeting in 2017, an increase of 48%.
