90 thousand Jordanian dinars fine one of the communications companies

Media In / Amman 19 April 2018
The Board of Commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has decided to impose a fine of JD90,000 on one of the companies that provide the data transmission service.
This was due to the lack of commitment to the conclusion of interconnection agreements with local licensed companies to provide a service (linking and providing international capacities) and warning of the need to correct their situation in addition to warning licensed companies that deal with them to sign new agreements.
The Chairman of the Commission’s Board of Commissioners Dr. Ghazi Al-Jabour confirmed that these decisions were based on the Authority’s keenness to protect and stimulate competition in the telecommunications market in providing telecommunications services in the best manner and in accordance with the provisions of the Telecommunications Law and the interconnection instructions and the terms of the license agreement.
