Kuwait’s long-term tourism growth strategy has been buoyed by an increase in the number of passengers through the airport to more than 10 million passengers annually, in line with the country’s plans to develop and expand its transportation infrastructure, which ranges from the expansion of the Kuwait International Airport 2 “, which aims to increase the capacity of the airport to reach 25 million passengers, in addition to other promising projects such as the” Metro Kuwait “and the railway network, all of which are included in the development plan” New Kuwait 2035 “.

According to government estimates, the tourism sector is expected to provide more than 90,000 jobs for young people until 2035. The total contribution – direct and indirect impact – of tourism in the short-term GDP will be about 2 per cent, with the potential to increase to 4 per cent Through the development of the sector that will drive to attract foreign investment.
