The number of new licenses issued by the Department of Economic Development (DED) rose to 9514 in the January-April period, a growth of 38.3% against the comparable period in 2018.

In February, the number of new licenses issued by Dubai’s Department of Economic Development reached 2204 licenses, an increase of 37 per cent compared with 1,606 in February last year.
In March of the same year, the growth rate of new licenses issued by about 35.4% was increased from 1816 to 2459 licenses.
The month of April was the most active in the business movement after the number of new licenses issued 2805 licenses with a growth of 60% compared with 1753 licenses in the same month of 2018
