A 6.0-magnitude earthquake hits northeastern Indonesia

An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale struck the Talaud Islands in northeastern Indonesia today.
The Indonesian Geophysics Agency stated in a press statement that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers, noting that there were no possible tsunamis in the aftermath of the quake.
