Today’s Algerian newspapers paid attention to the Algerian presidency’s announcement yesterday of granting financial aid worth 30 million dollars to Turkey and 15 million dollars to Syria within the framework of international aid for these two countries to face the consequences of the devastating earthquake that hit them last week.
It reported that the death toll from the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria had risen to more than 22,000, with hopes of finding survivors fading.
Saturday newspapers referred to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s orders to the government to facilitate the movement of Tunisian nationals to and from Algeria and not to impede entry and exit through land ports.
And I looked at the situation in the Palestinian territories, noting that two settlers were killed, while others were injured as a result of a run-over operation carried out by a Palestinian in the “Ramot” neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem yesterday, while the perpetrator of the operation was killed by settlers’ bullets.
Algerian newspapers touched on the tour of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Africa, which included Mali, Mauritania and Sudan, pointing out that Lavrov’s emphasis on building successful partnerships between Moscow and the capitals of the countries he visited.
