Abu Dhabi International Airport is implementing a new technical system to manage passenger flow

Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) has announced the introduction of a new technical system to manage passenger flow and waiting queues to enhance efficiency in day-to-day operations through check-in facilities, security checks, passports and baggage collection at Airport Buildings 1 and 3.
The new system dynamically manages the airport’s resources, increasing the airport’s passenger capacity and increasing passenger satisfaction. The airport also incorporates intelligent technologies including IOT and business intelligence that ensure efficient and smooth airport operations.
The new integrated technical system includes the installation of more than 450 sensors in 19 areas across the two buildings, providing real-time monitoring. The system also ensures the efficiency of queue management and incident management, as well as the identification of resources based on exploratory analyzes of passenger flow and size, Airport operations.
Abdul Majid Al Khouri, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said that this project was essential in the face of the growing challenge of increasing the number of passengers and operational efficiency. By activating this smart technology, the team will be able to anticipate and respond to travelers’ Data in real time thus enhancing operational efficiency.
He added that the smart information provided by the system has proved its high value recently by providing evidence and inputs can be employed in real time during the low visibility operations that occurred during the past period.
