Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange gains AED 1.3bn on Monday

The real estate and energy sectors have pushed up the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Monday. The ADX’s general index edged up 7.26 points, or 0.15%, to finish the session at 5,010.55 points.

Trading volume amounted to 45.1 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 194.15 million through 1,081 transactions. The real estate sector added 0.52%, followed by the energy and the banks sectors with 0.15% and 0.04%, respectively.

The telecommunication sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, was the only decliner with 0.12%.

The bourse’s market capitalisation closed at AED 515.2 billion, rising AED 1.3 million.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most heavily traded stock with traded volume of 15.88 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 132.84 million
