Activation of the Saudi Egyptian Investment Fund

The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a number of agreements in the field of investment.

The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The agreements included amending the agreement to establish a Saudi-Egyptian fund for investment between the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, and the Saudi side by Dr. Essam bin Said, Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Investment concerning the activation of the Saudi Egyptian Investment Fund.

The two sides agreed on an executive program for joint cooperation to encourage investment between the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt and the General Authority for Investment in Saudi Arabia.
