The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note for the fifth consecutive session. The ADX’s general index jumped 63.71 points, or 1.22%, to 5,299.08 points.
Trading volume amounted to 148.838 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 322.626 million through 2,251 transactions. Market capitalisation gained AED 5.64 million and closed the session at AED 540.329 billion.
The real estate, the telecommunication, the banks sectors rose by 2.70%, 1.51%, and 1.20%, respectively, while the energy sector was the sole decliner, slipping 0.07%.
Gulf Cement’s stock, 6.38% to AED 0.90, topped the winners, while Al Qudra, down 6.84% to AED 0.96, led losers.
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 72.693 million.
