ADX general index gains 25 points on Thursday

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has seen a buoyant trend on Thursday on the back of the rising blue-chip stocks. The ADX’s general index added 25.69 points, or 0.51%, finishing the trading session at 5,052.43 points.

Trading volume amounted to 66.448 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 205.079 million. The bourse’s market capitalisation gained AED 1.75 million and closed the session at AED 518.625 billion.

The real estate, the banks, and the telecommunication sectors rose 1.68%, 0.72%, and 0.12%, respectively. Meanwhile, the energy sector was the sole decliner with a 0.07% decrease.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most heavily traded stock with a  turnover of AED 67.776 million, while Aldar Properties’ stock was the most active stock in terms of trading volume with 22.991 million shares.
