AED 1.5 billion in hotel revenues in Abu Dhabi within 3 months

In the first quarter of this year, hotel revenues in Abu Dhabi reached 1.5 billion dirhams, with the number of rooms provided by the sector rising to 31,483 rooms and increasing the occupancy rate to 78% and 2.7% growth compared to the first three months of 2017.
The number of guests rose to 1.29 million, the number of nights was 3436 nights and the average length of stay was 2.7 nights, according to the latest statistics issued by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center today.
The hotel revenue rate was AED 364. By the end of the first quarter of this year, the number of hotel establishments was 163 in Abu Dhabi, including 117 hotels and 46 hotel apartments.
In terms of activity, the figures show that the occupancy rate in the hotel apartments rose to 82% during the first quarter of this year, while the occupancy rate of the funds was 77% and the rate of revenue of the rooms for apartments was 277 dirhams and 386 dirhams for hotels.
As for the nationalities of guests in the hotel establishments in the Emirate, the citizens came first with 357 thousand guests, followed by the second place of Asian citizens except for the Arab countries, which in the first quarter of this year reached 350 thousand guests, while the number of European citizens 269 thousand And about 134,000 from the Arab countries, 74,000 from North and South America and 68,000 from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
