The value of the trade of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi aluminum to 20.8 billion dirhams during the year 2017 growth of 51.2% compared to 13.76 billion dirhams in 2016.
The growth in the emirate’s aluminum trade at the end of last year is the highest in several years, reflecting the significant growth witnessed by Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general, which is considered among the most productive countries in this type of industry in the world.
The emirate’s aluminum trade rose by 8 billion dirhams in the last two months of 2017, according to figures released by the Abu Dhabi Center for Statistics, which showed a value of 12.8 billion dirhams in October and then rose to 20.8 billion dirhams in December.
The value of Abu Dhabi’s aluminum exports during the year 2017 rose to AED 4.86 billion with a growth of 101% compared to AED 2.4 billion in 2016.
According to Statistics Center figures, Abu Dhabi’s aluminum trade accounted for about 13% of the Emirate’s total non-oil trade in 2017, amounting to 160 billion dirhams.
