AED 5.62 Billion Revenues of Abu Dhabi Hotels in 2017

Hotel revenues in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi reached AED 5.62 billion during the year 2017. The total number of guests reached 4.88 million while the number of nights was 12293 nights and the average length of stay / night was 2.5 nights.
The figures indicated that the rate of revenue of hotel rooms amounted to 368 dirhams.
The occupancy rate was 72 per cent for 30,882, the number of rooms available in these facilities during the last year compared to 30,602 in 2016.
The statistics show that the number of hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi reached 162 establishments, of which 115 were hotels and 47 hotel apartments. The hotels accounted for 81% of the total rooms in the sector and 25037 rooms, while 5845 rooms were in the class of hotel apartments.
It is evident from the figures on the activity of the sector that the rate of occupancy in the hotel apartments was 77 per cent during the last year, while for hotels to 70 per cent and the rate of income of the rooms for apartments is 292 dirhams and 388 dirhams for hotels.
The European citizenship campaign ranked first in terms of average stay of 3.73 nights, while for North Americans and South Americans it was 3.51 nights last year, 2.8 nights for non-Arab African nationals and 2.7 nights for Australians, Citizens 2.07 night.
According to the classification of the type of revenue for hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi, the value of room revenues amounted to 2.94 billion dirhams, or 52.35% of total revenues.
