Ahmed Bin Ghannam: Annual Investment Forum AIM is an opportunity to introduce the Abu Dhabi Investment Office

A number of government agencies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have completed their participation in the annual investment forum AIM 2018 in attracting and attracting many delegations of foreign countries and major foreign investment companies participating in the forum which concluded today and lasted three days at the Dubai International Trade Center under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Deputy Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Ahmed Bin Ghannam, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office said that the office’s participation in the forum focused mainly on the delegations of foreign countries and major investment companies in a number of countries targeted by the office as part of its program to promote the investment opportunities enjoyed by Abu Dhabi in a number of economic sectors.
He stressed that the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government have diversified during the previous period through various initiatives to stimulate the business environment and create a partner working environment for the private sector, where a number of legislations have been updated especially with regard to developing the investment climate in an attempt to better address investment issues and regulate the relationship between all stakeholders in the investment sector.
He pointed out that the Department of Economic Development Abu Dhabi represented by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office is making continuous efforts to promote the business environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which is characterized by many incentives at the level of legislation and procedures that have contributed to the creation of good impressions and desire of companies from all over the world to obtain investment opportunities that have Abu Dhabi.
Ahmed Bin Ghannam said that the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government to attract more foreign investments during the past years resulted in a rise in foreign direct investment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in 2017 to 108 billion dirhams compared to 100 billion dirhams in 2016 growth rate of 7.1% Statistics Center Abu Dhabi.
