The Ajman Department of Finance held a workshop on the preparation of the draft general budget of the Government of Ajman for the fiscal year 2020 within the general financial plan of the Government for the financial years 2019-2020-2021 in the presence of representatives from various government agencies in the Emirate.
This workshop comes within the framework of strengthening the role of the central department in the management of government financial resources efficiently and effectively in accordance with the strategic orientations of the government and vision Ajman 2021 to achieve the highest levels of financial performance excellence.
The workshop aimed to enable the government departments to prepare the draft 2020 budget in accordance with the procedures and regulations adopted and define them with a set of main topics directly related to them, which included the general rules in the preparation of the general budget and related requirements in this regard and the approved methodology and foundations.
The generalization of the preparation of draft budget No. 2 for the year 2019 and the mechanism of using the case study model for all initiatives and how to use the Smart Planning and Analysis System to prepare the draft budget for the year 2020 was explained.
The Director of the Government Budget Department confirmed that the workshop is part of the Department’s commitment to perform its role efficiently and to ensure the implementation of the best practices adopted in the preparation and construction of government budgets.
He pointed out that the Department is keen to provide advice and guidance to develop the procedures used in preparing the draft budget and to enhance the capabilities of the competent staff in this field at the level of Ajman Government.
He stressed that the meetings and workshops organized by the Department of Finance, Which is periodically introduced by the Department to various financial rules and regulations, including the preparation of the general budget of the Government and showing its interest in identifying the views of financial officers and their commitment to strengthening partnership relations with them.
