The assets of the Central Bank grow 11.5% to 42 billion in 2017

UAE Central Bank assets increased by AED 42 billion in 2017, an increase of 11.5% compared to 2016, according to the latest figures issued by the Bank.
The Central Bank’s assets reached AED 406.4 billion in December compared to AED 364.45 billion in the same month in 2016
Deposits with the Central Bank increased by AED 49.58 billion in 2017 to AED 111.28 billion, compared with AED 61.7 billion at the end of 2016.
As for investments held to maturity, they decreased by AED 64.8 billion at AED 133.66 billion in December compared to AED 198.5 billion in the same month of 2016. The balance of other assets also declined from AED 10.9 billion AED 3.27 billion during the same period.
Figures on loans and advances show an increase of AED 901 million, with a total balance of AED 3.93 billion at the end of 2017 compared to AED 3.2 billion in 2016
