Central Bank of Bahrain Sukuk issue 166 oversubscribed by 672%

Media IN Manama, June 11 (BNA):

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 672%.

Subscriptions worth BD 174.7 million were received for the BD 26 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on 13th June 2019 and matures on 12th December 2019, is 3.35% compared to 3.70% for the previous issue on 9th May 2019.

The Sukuk Al-Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
